Q. What
makes Imhotep International different from other local soccer programs?
A. Beyond providing a fun activity, Imhotep teams are
largely guided by trained, experienced and licensed coaches who focus
on player development.
Q. What are the fees and what do they include?
A. The fees vary by age. However, all new registrants
receive a uniform including a jersey, shorts, socks and a practice tee-shirt.
Monogramed soccer bags can be ordered at registration for $25 each.
Q. What does my child need to bring to practice?
A. At every practice, your child should wear comfortable
and appropriate clothing. Preferably the Imhotep practice shirts. They
should wear soccer socks and cleats. They should bring their ball to
every practice and should have water or something to drink.
Q. What if it rains?
A. Parents should assume that there will be practice
even if it rains, unless lightening is present. Please have your child
bring sneakers for possible practice in the gym. Coaches will alert
their team if they choose to cancel practice.
Q. Where can I go to get directions to the
soccer fields?
A. Georgia Youth Soccer Association has maps to all
of the Georgia-based soccer fields. Directions to Bunche
Middle School, and
Georgia Soccer
Park.
Q. I am interested in volunteering or donating.
Who should I speak to about getting involved?
A. Be sure to express your interest at registration.
For additional information, contact Charlton Harris at 404-245-4667.
Q. What should I expect to happen on game days?
A. Most coaches request that players be at the game
site 30 to 45 minutes prior to game time, ready to warm-up and practice.
Players need to wear their uniforms, and have shin guards, cleats, water
bottle, and a ball for warm-ups. Also, depending upon the weather, sweatshirt,
sweatpants, and gloves may be needed.
During the game, the teams are always on one sideline and the spectators
are on the other. Only players, coaches, managers and referees are allowed
on the team sideline. Spectators should conduct themselves in a positive,
supportive manner. Inappropriate behavior can reflect poorly on the
team. In severe cases it can result in removal from the premises.
